Nokia Corp’s new flagship phone Lumia 920 featuring the new Windows 8 is coming to AT&T at a cost for $149.99.
The 32GB 4G smartphone is being launched on AT&T with Best Buy selling it at this exclusive price. The unactivated device is going to be priced at $599.99.
This exclusive price is still nowhere near its competition because the Windows Phone 8X by HTC, for instance, is currently listed at $99.99 with a new, two-year agreement from the same retailer. It’s unactivated, unsubsidized price is the same $599.99, but HTC is obviously being more aggressive than its Finnish counterpart.
The Lumia also lacks microSD slot but hopefully with the 32GB internal storage, the phone will not sink too quickly. HTC also opted not to give the 8X a memory card slot, instead preserving the unbroken lines of its unibody plastic casing which could prove to be a considerable limitation, even with Microsoft’s SkyDrive cloud storage push.
Lumia 920 will be available in black, white, yellow, red and cyan colors. The HTC phone is being offered in indgo-blue only.
Keep in mind that Lumia 920 is viewed as a competitor to the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3, both of which are available at $199.99.
