HP Announces Slate 7

Hewlett-Packard has introduced the Slate 7 – the Jelly Bean powered 7-inch tablet priced at $169.HP Slate 7
The device features a 1024 x 600 resolution capacitive touchscreen display, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of memory, while the model is WiFi-only (it only supports 2.4GHz 802.11n) and has dual-facing cameras.

The Slate 7 is also sporting a 1.6GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor and has a neat functionality for users to wirelessly print from most apps over WiFi and HP’s ePrint technology, while the tablet has a microSD card slot for expanding storage which is good, because I was wonder what exactly can a person do with 8GB of storage :/

Like all Android devices, this one too will include Google services like YouTube and Gmail, as well as Beats Audio for improved sound.

H.P. said it expected American sales of the Slate 7 to begin in April, and said the product offers a “compelling entry point” for people looking to buy tablets.

The tablet will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress this week.
